Terrington
Village Festival is celebrating 10 years of Terrington
Arts and all the other creative and exciting
activities which happen here. Every
village organisation is taking part in the
10 day Festival with something for everyone. Whether
you live in the village,
in the Howardian Hills or
further afield, you are very welcome to come
to Terrington to meet us and enjoy our Festival.
Terrington Arts has brought community art, touring
shows, amateur theatre, films, textiles and
crafts,
the band and historical and photographic projects
to the area over the 10 years. Other groups
formed in that time and taking part are: Terrington Village
Choir, the
Wine Society, the Book Group,
the Walking Groups and the Garden Club.
The two Schools, the Church, the WI, the Snooker
and Bowls clubs,
the Stores
and the Bay Horse Inn are also
involved. We are lucky to have so many
enterprising people in the village, with ideas
and the enthusiasm to make
things
happen.
Please look through the programme and plan
your week. You will be welcome to visit
us for the big events like Open
Gardens,
the Family
Have a
Go day, the Thai Cultural Day or one of
the evening shows, but equally welcome
to visit during the week when it is quieter.
On weekdays you will find Guided Walks,
Art workshops and the Textile
and Craft
Open
Day, and
you will still be able to see the Flowers
in the Church, the Scarecrows, the Photographic
exhibition in the Café or the Terrington Arts and Playgroup
exhibition in the Village Hall. Lunches will be available in the Terrington
Stores Café and at the Bay Horse.
