Artists in Residence Workshops
with Shelley Hughes and Gerard Naughton
Shelley Hughes is a talented young artist who grew up in the village and attended local schools before going on to gain an MA in Fine Art at Lancaster University. Her work has been displayed regularly in exhibitions and in 2006 she was a finalist in the Celeste competition for portraiture. She now works for Sheffield Art Galleries and Museums Trust.
Workshops will run over four days during the week, based on the theme 'Portrait of the Village'. Participants will produce portraits using a wide variety of techniques and materials which will be used to create a mural for permanent display in the village. Drop in anytime to help create a permanent work of art celebrating the Village Festival and ten years of Terrington Arts.
